This page is dedicated to our good friends, The Birges.  They are some of the most wonderful, nicest, most giving, caring people you could ever hope to meet!

Maddi was born August 20, 2001, in the People's Republic of China.  She was adopted on July 4, 2002, by her parents, Dave and Debbie.  Maddi was an adorable and very loved child, with a true love for life.  She enjoyed music, dancing, being read to, looking at her photo albums, water, camping, dollies, eating out w/Grandma & Grandpa, stickers, bugs, the park, waving to all she met, Mama Marlene's house, and her day care friends!

Maddi was the world's brightest ambassador, bringing joy to the lives of all those lucky enough to cross her path.  She put a smile on everyone's face and created warmth and love in their hearts.

In September 2003, Maddi passed away after a short illness.  Her daddy is an avid runner, so in November, a 5K run/walk was held in her memory.  The event was called "Maddi's Miles".  So many wonderful people turned out to show their support and love for the Birge family.  An amazing amount of money was raised and donated to the Chinese Children's Charities Fund, to help Maddi's little friends in China.

We will always remember and love this very special little girl.  In July 2004 and October 2005, the Birges traveled to China again to bring home their new daughters, Hannah Claire XiaoMei Birge and Ellie Birge.  They made a fourth trip in February 2007 to adopt a son, Carson.
